With our Energy Saving Calculation software, we can accurately tell you the amount of money you can save on your energy bill. In addition to this, we will also tell you the reduction in energy usage and CO2 emissions. This is all part of the package when we complete a glazing survey and provide you with a quotation.

How to Go Green with Window FilmTo fully understand how window film can save energy and money, we have to first look at the way in which you're currently spending it. In your home you have your general electrical items (televisions, computers, household appliances), your lighting and your air conditioning unit. As we know in the summer in the UAE things can get pretty hot inside our property so we rely on the cooling efficiency of our A/C unit. During the summer, this air conditioning usage can account for up to 70% of your energy bills.
Heat is transferred in Visible light AND Infrared light; with darker films comes greater Solar Energy Rejection, reflective solar control films literally mirror reflect the sun's rays away from your glass. However, more and more customers want to maintain a clear view through their glass with no changes in the shade or mirrored effect - this is where high VLT (visible light transmission) IR films come in. They block out as much solar energy as possible by rejecting mainly the infrared light. The majority of window films block 99.8% of UV Rays.
Okay.. how does this save energy and money? With the reduced amount of Solar Energy comes a reduced load of work for your air conditioning unit. Imagine if window film can reduce temperatures in your home by 2-3 degrees, your air conditioning unit wouldnt have to work as hard to maintain your required temperature. In fact, window film also keep the cooler air inside and acts as an insulator. So it keeps the heat out and keeps the cool in, further making your air conditioner's job easier. In terms of savings - the reduced work load means less power (kWh) required to run the A/C unit and that works favourably on your electricity bill and for your carbon footprint. They dont really block any heat, they just keep it next to the window.. so if you imagine behind your curtains, that area is collecting all the heat from the sun and turning the space into a heater. In addition, you cant see out your windows, the property will be dark so you'll have to turn on more artificial light. There is no substitute for natural light.
But will window film make the windows really dark like my car windows? It doesn't have to. We have a full range of shades, a slight tint to your glazing will actually improve your view, reducing any glare problems you may have. We also have almost clear films which use infrared blocking technology to keep out heat, but maintain a clear look to the glass. With our high visible light, Inframax product, you wont even notice the film is on the glass.
Yes. We have developed software to accurately measure how much energy and money you can save when window film is applied to your home. This is based on the reduced cooling load and uses solar energy weather data collected over the last 7 years in the UAE. We survey your home and take into account the direction the glass is facing, we then simulate your property using our software to produce a brief report that you can easily understand.
